1961 Gibson ES-125TC
Gibson introduced the ES-125 as an entry-level archtop guitar in 1941, the second in their line after the ES-100 ("Electric Spanish"). In the mid-1950s, Gibson began making thinline versions of the ES-125, which they labeled as the ES-125T. From 1960 to 1970, the ES-125TC (C for cutaway) was produced, which introduced the sharp single Florentine cutaway as found on this guitar.
Gibson ES-125 players include Joe Pass, George Thorogood, and Tracy Chapman.
