Description1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard ("Bigsby Burst"), serial number 0 0266, in completely faded "unburst" finish. The guitar has a single cutaway mahogany body with a plain maple top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has pearl trapezoid inlays. It has a raised cream pickguard, original tone and volume controls, and a factory Bigsby tailpiece. Pickup covers hide double cream PAF humbucker pickups. This guitar features the thicker, late-1950s style neck profile.

The Burst period (1958-1960) is commonly recognized as the preeminent years of Gibson's Les Paul guitars. Newly introduced design features combined with high-quality craftsmanship make them the most sought-after collectible guitars. These guitars feature a flamed maple top and cherry sunburst finish, where they derive their name.
