2007 Gibson Les Paul Robot
This guitar was part of the initial limited run of 4,000 instruments produced as the first line of Gibson's "Robot" guitars. Also called the Gibson Robot Guitar (or GOR), the first production run consisted of only Les Paul models. Four other models of GORs were later produced, using the SG, Flying V, X-plorer, and Les Paul Junior models. The GOR was developed by Chris Adams, who created a system that connected the traditional Tune-o-Matic bridge to a microprocessor, which transmitted each string's pitch. The computer then analyzes the signal and adjusts the tuners using a small servo motor.
