Gary Rossington (1951-2023) was an American guitar who was a founding member of the Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was known for playing a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, which he had named "Berniece" in honor of his mother. This guitar Rossington '59 Les Paul was modeled after "Berniece," with relic finishes and blemishes added by Gibson master luthier Tom Murphy. The Rossington '59 Les Paul was one of the early Gibson Custom Shop releases, with only 250 guitars built in total.
