Description1963 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman, serial number 57337, in Walnut finish. The guitar has a hollow, maple body with two f-holes on its front and padded back. It has a maple neck with a bound ebony fretboard, gold hardware, dual flip-up mutes with red felt, stair step Grover imperial tuners. In its original hardshell case.

The Gretsch 6122 was introduced in the late 1950s, building on Gretsch's collaboration with guitarist Chet Atkins, known as "The Country Gentleman." The first variant of 6122 guitars were produced from 1959 to early 1961, with the second iteration starting in late-1961 through 1963. This guitar belongs to the second generation, and where it was updated to double cutaway style body with a padded back and a double mute and standby switch was added.
