2018 Fender Custom Shop '51 Reissue Nocaster Relic
In 1950, Fender introduced its first solid body guitar, the Broadcaster. In 1951, guitar maker Gretsch filed a trademark dispute over the name. Fender ceased using the Broadcaster name, and for a brief period produced solid body electric guitars with no name listed on the headstock. By late 1951, the guitar had been renamed the Telecaster. The guitars produced during these intervening months with no headstock identifier became known as "Nocasters." This is a reproduction of the original 1951 Nocaster model.
