Description2004 C.F. Martin & Co. D-100 Deluxe guitar, serial number 1000005 with limitation number 5 /50. The guitar features a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard with Tree of Life inlay, eagle and logo inlay on headstock. The back of guitar features Victorian style abalone inlays, with a black Micarta pickguard featuring a shield decorated with the Martin X bracing system.

This guitar is based on a D-45 that has been decorated with the most elaborate inlays of any commercial model to date. The guitar is based upon the design created by inlay artist Larry Robinson to commemorate the 1,000,000th guitar produced by Martin. Robinson spent over a year designing and crafting this one millionth guitar incorporating mother of pearl, abalone, precious metals and precious and semiprecious gems. This handcrafted #1,000,000 milestone guitar is part of the Martin museum collection. Martin then produced a limited run of 50 instruments with the help of Larry Sifel's Pearl Works company that used a CNC computer cutting machine to recreate most of the details of Robinson's original design.
