1936 C.F. Martin & Co. 0-17
The Martin 0-17 was introduced in 1908, owing its design to Martin's Style 17 model that began production in 1874. The early 0-17 models had a spruce top with mahogany sides and back and were produced concurrently with Style 17 guitars until 1918 when that line was discontinued. The 0-17 returned to Martin catalogs in 1922, now with all mahogany construction and meant for steel strings. For 1936, Martin built 861 of the 0-17 model guitars. The 0-17 model was discontinued in 1961, with a brief return in 1967.
