DescriptionPostcard written by Buddy Holly to his parents, July 19, 1956. A pre-paid postage postcard, penned in green fountain pen ink, dated "Wed." noting that Buddy Holly just arrived in "Nashville at 11:30 / tonite and checked into the Beldire," ending with "Love, Buddy." Front side addressed to "Mr. & Mrs. L.O. Holley / Route #5 / Lubbock, Texas." Postmark notes in part "Nashville / Jul 19 / 1956". The now-historic time when Holly went to Nashville to record what would become known as "The Nashville Sessions 1956."
