DescriptionFramed First Day Stamped Envelope with Albert Einstein signature, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Einstein's birthday. The First Day stamp is issued from Calcutta, India (now Kolkata). The envelope features a sketch of Albert Einstein at left with his name in Bengali and English below the sketch. The first day Einstein stamp is in the upper right corner. Stamped 14-3-79. Einstein's signature is displayed in small opening below envelope. Framed and matted with beige mat and gold frame.

Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a German physicist who is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of all time. His theory of relativity helped unify the concepts of space and time, and led to new discoveries in the astronomy world. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his contributions to theoretical physics and the discovery of the photoelectric effect.
