Description1991 Gibson Jimi Hendrix Hall of Fame Flying V guitar, serial number 93181702, in black finish with white pickguard. The limitation number, 42 of 400, is listed on the truss rod cover. The guitar has a V-shaped mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. Hendrix's signature has been embedded in the white pickguard. The Hendrix Flying V has "split-triangle" Trini Lopez fretboard-inlays, the sideways Gibson logo on its headstock and a bound fretboard, all features based on Hendrix's own Flying V. In its original hardshell Gibson leather case.

Gibson produced the Jimi Hendrix Hall of Fame Flying V from 1991-1993 as part of a limited run of 400 guitars. These guitars were produced to commemorate Hendrix's use of the Flying V model prior to his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 as a member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
