DescriptionEddie Van Halen's 2004 Charvel EVH Art Series 78 electric guitar, serial number 00296. Solid basswood body red with white and black stripes and “78” below the Floyd rose tremolo bridge. A humbucker is body mounted in the bridge position with a single knob on a small white control plate. Signed by Van Halen in silver marker. Single piece maple bolt-on neck and Schaller tuners. In a G&G made "EVH" case. This guitar was stage-played by Eddie Van Halen in Quebec City, Canada during the final concert of the Van Halen 2007–2008 Tour that took place from September 27, 2007 to July 3, 2008 - and signed and dated by Van Halen in silver marker. Charvel EVH Art Series guitars were a limited run of signed, hand-painted, one-of-a kind guitars used by Eddie on tour from 2004-2012. This guitar is modeled after his 1978 design.
The tour featured David Lee Roth back in the line-up for the first time since 1985 and generated a massive amount of interest, with many new dates added to accommodate the demand for performances. The performance at which this guitar was used on stage was part of Quebec City's Summer Festival that took place on July 3, 2008.
