DescriptionTwo color photographic prints, framed, showing the first U.S. spacewalk aboard Gemini IV. Ed White is shown in the first extravehicular activity (EVA) over New Mexico and southern California, June 3-7, 1965. One of the photographs is a fantastic image of Ed White’s EVA. James McDivitt took the photograph facing southwest from his Command Pilot left seat of the capsule with a Hasselblad model 500 C (NASA modified) and 70mm Eastman Kodak Ektachrome MS film. Visible over Ed White’s left shoulder is the Gulf of California and Baja California.

Photographs include: Vintage chromogenic print on fiber-based Kodak paper, with NASA MSC caption, numbered “NASA S-65-30430” in red in top margin that captures [orbit 3, 004:37:31 GET]; and Vintage chromogenic print on fiber-based Kodak paper, (NASA KSC) [NASA S-65-30433] that captures [orbit 3, 004:39:00 GET].
