1969 Fender Jazz Bass
The Jazz bass was the second model of electric bass guitar produced by Fender, with its introduction in 1960. While its predecessor, the Precision bass, had one single-coil pickup, the Jazz bass has two single-coil pickups and an asymmetrical design intended to attract stand-up bass players. The Jazz bass's bright sound makes it ideal for slap and finger bass playing. It has been used by many iconic bass players such as Geddy Lee (Rush), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Jaco Pastorius (Weather Report, Joni Mitchell).
