Description1965 Newport Folk Festival Concert Poster. An original cardboard advertising window card for the 1965 Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. The poster is red with black text, and has a drawing of a guitarist's hands playing what appears to be an acoustic guitar at top designed by artist Jonathan Shahn. The poster has been framed with a white mat and black frame.

The poster features information about the festival's lineup and artists, and specifically information about Bob Dylan. Dylan famously "plugged in" with electric instruments during his Sunday and went electric during his Sunday night set (July 25th), ostensibly changing the course of pop music forever.
