DescriptionCirca 1930 Alcoa upright aluminum bass, serial number 376, in stripped polished finish. The bass has had the original faux woodgrain finish stripped and it has been polished. The bass retains the original German machine heads, fingerboard, tailpiece and endpin. Alcoa made only 500 or fewer of these basses between 1928 and 1934 and some estimate fewer than 200 survive today.
