In fact, after winning the title from James Braddock Louis wouldn't recognize himself as champion until he dealt with Schmeling. Louis finally got the revenge he sorely need when he dominated Schmeling June 22, 1938 at Yankee Stadium. Fans celebrated in the streets following Louis' triumph. Great textured gold graphics on the front with images of both warriors. Light surface crease on the verso and even wear on the corners and borders.
